A preschool built for actual kids.
A small, play-based preschool on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. Three rooms, nine teachers, and a garden the four-year-olds are genuinely in charge of. Enrolling 18 months through pre-K.
A look inside the rooms.
Small rooms, familiar faces, and a lot of time outside.
We stay deliberately small. Three rooms, nine teachers, and enough time in the day that nobody is being hurried from one thing to the next.
Low ratios, kept.
1:6 in the toddler room, 1:8 and 1:9 above it. We hold the number rather than stretching it.
Teachers who stay.
Average tenure is six years. The person who greets your child in September hands them back in June.
Outside, twice a day.
Rain gear lives by the door. We go out in almost everything short of lightning.
The honest version.
If your child has a rough month you hear it from us, along with what we are doing about it.
Four steps to the first morning.
From the first tour to the first drop-off, you always know where you stand on the list.
20-min tour
On a normal Tuesday or Saturday morning. Bring your child — most people do.
Pick the room
By where your child actually is, not strictly by birthday. We tell you the real wait.
Two short days
A pair of half mornings before the first full one, so the room is familiar before it is long.
First full day
You get a photo at lunch. Not because we have to — because the first day is long for you too.
Tuition
Monthly, twelve months a year, and it covers everything except diapers. No registration fee and no surprise materials bill in October.

What parents actually say.
Our son went from clinging at the door to running in. It took about three weeks and nobody once tried to rush him through it.J

I asked about openings at eleven at night and had a tour booked before I put my phone down. That is not normal for preschools.M

They tell you the honest version. When our daughter had a rough month they said so, and then told us exactly what they were doing about it.S

Come see a normal Tuesday.
Twenty minutes, during a real morning rather than a staged one. You'll meet the teacher your child would actually have. Bring them along if it's easier.
